In this section you can define the projects general information, such as identification information on the Customer Name, the Project Number, the Project Name and the Room Name.
You'll also have the option to choose the type of room you're running this simulation for so it will show you on the chart on the right the minimum and maximum recommended reverberation times lines in grey.
In this section you be asked to characterize the room using its measurements of length, width and height, it's volume and the total surface area of the walls.
In this section you'll find prebuilt rooms, both from the ATP and JOCAVI brands that you can use as a base to work with.
Finally, once you've completed each section, we suggest clicking the Download button to save the JAS2 file locally in your computer. You can also reload these files using the Load button and clear the whole project using the Clear button.
In this section you can provide information about the introduction of the report. This information will be used in the report.
Though this field isn't mandatory, we usually use this space to talk about the room in general and about what we the purpose of the document is and the ideal acoustics we think the room in question should have.
You'll always have the option to exclude the Introduction and Recommendations page from the final report if you wish to do so.
In this section you'll be able to characterize the room "as is". To do so, you'll need to add materials that represent the surfaces of the room, such as concrete, doors, plasterboards, windows, etc. You can also use more specific materials such as chairs, curtains, floor coverings, sofas or other types of furnitures.
In the Add material window you'll find different materials and their acoustic properties as a chart so you can add them to the room by defining the area they cover.
You can also edit already added materials, remove them one by one, or clear the whole list of already added materials.
Note: Please remember you can only add one line per material, so if you have 2 windows, sum their area and then add one line of the relevant material with the whole area combined.
In this section you'll be able to characterize the room after the acoustic treatment. To do so, you'll need to add materials that represent the surfaces of the room, such as concrete, doors, plasterboards, windows, etc. just like before, but also the acoustic treatment materials.
In this Add material window you'll find different materials such as acoustic products developed by JOCAVI which can be added per unit.
As you change the list of materials, you'll see the reverberation times chart on the right change dynamically, along with the values for the calculated RT reduction, average and balance. This will immediatelly give you the visibility over how the choices you make change the acoustics of the room.
In this section you can provide information on the recommendations you made for this project. This information will also be used in the report.
Again, though this field isn't mandatory, we usually use this space to talk about how we corrected the issues we found in the room in order to achieve the ideal acoustics we think the room in question should have.
JOCAVI™ International
JOCAVI™ USA Corporation
" For me acoustics is a desire that makes me feel fulfilled every day since the day I decided to face the challenge of wanting to learn and understand it and make this science my profession.
The passion for Musical Acoustics has guided my life from a very young age as I feel passionately attracted to acoustics ever since I remember. The preference for this matter combined with the tenacity to develop and create numerous high quality acoustic solutions placed a vast display of unique, efficient, and impactful acoustic products under JOCAVI´s name at disposal in the international market.
Acoustic-related concepts, commonly regarded as abstract ones, always had a solid tangible meaning the way I picture them:
Sound, something that we cannot see, and which is therefore truly fascinating, may be authentically and naturally manipulated through its merely physical components.
Music, the vibrant and chilling contagion that instruments convey to us when accurate conditions of comprehensibility are ideal.
All the sensations and experiences I have had in the last 30 years make me feel accomplished and honoured for the work dedicated to those around me, my friends, co-workers and the joy I feel in making my life the brand of my life, JOCAVI. "
